Her attic is a mess. With perfect timing for May spring cleaning month, the Washington Post is featuring a series on attic organization. Week one started today with a description and slide show of Liz Seymour's (the Post's Home Deputy Editor) attic clutter...
Not everyone in DC has 700 sq feet of attic space. Most of us probably don't even have an attic!

I'm so happy to see that ATDC is getting started- can't wait to see what the team has to offer. Congratulations Rachael!

agreed, having our own DC corner is amazing!

Her attic is the size of my apartment... It will be interesting to see how she tackles it though. We are going through both garages right now and it definitely makes things easier to pull it all out and sort it rather then working in a confined space.

Wonder if she would do my mom's garage?

So excited about ATDC. YAY! And I wish my apartment itself was 700sf.....let alone having an attic that size....

Perfect timing! When I moved from a NYC studio to my DC house, I barely had enough stuff to furnish 1 room. Somehow, 7 years, a major renovation and several roommates has left me about 500 sq. ft. of basement that I can barely walk through due to all the spare junk.
Hooray for ATDC!

I'm going to see my mom this weekend in Baltimore -- she has an attic that could use the same treatment! I am wondering whether this series will provide inspiration.
I'm also going to stop at the Baltimore Herb Festival on Saturday and the Gore*Dean store in Mt. Washington ... Baltimore may be next on AT's list of world domination, one city at a time!
