Kelly Wearstler's New Dinnerware Collection

"Maximalist" Kelly Wearstler released a bedding line earlier this year, and now she lends her bold style to another are of the home: fine bone china.

Her four designs — Trousdale, Pickfair, Hillcrest and Mulholland — are all made to mix and match. Wearstler's descriptions of her designs:

1 Trousdale
Trousdale was inspired by the delicate lacquer work of the Art Deco movement and the minimalism of Japanese art. A subtle gradation of gold dots delicately decorates this pattern, which is set in a palette of metallic gold and ivory.

2 Pickfair
Pickfair is a dynamic interpretation of a flame stitch (or chevron) pattern, yet it becomes more graceful when translated in muted hues of soft grey, mica and gold. A striking and classic design, Pickfair is designed to be layered and mixed with all the other pieces in the collection.

3 Hillcrest
At once modern and timeless, Hillcrest is a unique pattern evocative of sea anemones and the stylized florals of the 1920’s. The delicate linework and graceful forms are rendered in a soft metallic gold.

4 Mulholland
Mulholland features platinum and gold stripes that overlap and appear to wrap around each piece. Inspired by modern art, Mulholland is a graphic pattern that mixes well with the more decorative patterns to create a vibrant and unique place setting.

Kelly Wearstler's dinnerware collection is available at select Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman stores.

I'm not fond of Pickfair or Hillcrest at all...
- but Trousdale and Mulholland are quite beautiful.

Pretty, but seriously expensive for even one place setting.

Wow, I was entertained by -- and really didn't care for -- her home, but these are incredibly elegant.

These plates are also up on Nook today, along with a lot of other (expensive) gold and white porcelain. The combo is pretty, but it doesn't come cheap.

ugh. I am so over Kelly Wearstler. Her stuff is so ugly, people. I mean, did you see her in Domino? It looked like she vomited on her house.

I don't get it... huge disconnect between her maximalist design aesthetic and this rather minimalist fine china... it's almost boring.
