Now You See it: Now You Don't

We're looking for more storage in our house (isn't everyone)? Enter; a creative and discreet way to hide all of your gadgets in a very public room.

Designer Yvonne R. McFadden created a space in this Atlanta home that allows all of the gadgets (or mini bar) to be stored away, and in a not so obvious way. The geometric paneled wall is so great and we certainly wouldn't expect there to actually be stuff behind there.

This beautiful monochromatic home was featured in Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles.

Sterile! Don't sit on the sofas. You'll get them dirty!

I love this idea for hiding a flat screen tv above the fireplace (or anywhere). Or the shelves that have all of your bills and personal finance stuff on it. But I think hiding everything takes away the personality of the person who is living there. If you have a great minibar, show it! It invites people to relax. Coming into a home where everything is like a showcase is just boring. I always go for Clean and tidy vs. Sterile and bare.

Well, that would be just lovely if the walls didn't look like something out of the 70s. Not for me.

Having more of your stuff out on display is good if you're good at keeping it tidy. If you're kind of messy this is great for quickly stashing stuff before guests come over. I agree that this particular space feels a bit sterile, but I think you could take the concept and have more fun with it - add a little color or something.
