Nido Bird Feeder from Bambeco

NidoBirdfeeder.jpg

We love the idea of bird houses and bird feeders, but often do not love their style- surely our feathered visitors deserve clean modern lines as much as we do? We were therefore delighted to find this modern birdhouse made from recycled scrap steel...

This stainless steel bird feeder comes with a ground stake and a suspension hanger so it is perfect for apartment dwellers with a patio or balcony. Add some birdseed and you're sure to attract a selection of fine feathered friends to add some life and noise to even the most industrial outside space.

The Nido Bird Feeder measures 55”H x 7”W x 5”D, can be cleaned with a damp cloth, and is currently on sale for $79 at Bambeco.

Maybe as a nightstand?

The problem I've had with open-sided bird feeders like this is that the blue jays and other big birds perch themselves on it and use it for a buffet table. And, the little finches and chickadees don't visit, because the big birds scare them off.

I love my little birds, not the big noisy ones, so I don't put out feeders like this. The feeders with small holes that only let small beaks in are better. They might not be as pretty, but they attract a better class of birds.

Also, this better be hidden well among tree leaves away frım the sun.
Or: "instant fried-bird" or "instant popped seeds".

Definitely not squirrel proof either. May work in squirrel-free urban areas, but not a good option for the suburbs.
