Roundup: Garden Bench Swings
Washington DC

Some people play fantasy football; we play fantasy furniture. In honor of AT garden month, we are sharing with you our fantasy item for the garden: a free-standing bench swing. We find swings to be incredibly relaxing and soothing. The gentle rocking motion is an ideal way to enjoy the outdoors. More photos and ideas below the jump...

If you have outdoor space but it's limited, consider a glider, which takes up less room than a free-standing swing. Our first draft glider pick would be made from recycled plastic or a retro glider (shown below).

Do you have any garden swing picks? What about fantasy furniture?

Shown are the Viteo Swing, heaven swing from First Class Holz, Teak Root porch swing, and retro glider.

Second round picks:

- Polish Oak swing from the Outdoor Scene

- Porch swing stand from Overstock

- Rachael Grad

I love chair hammocks (the kind you can stretch to put your feet al the way out in) for swinging outside.
