swing info please

Usually I try to use long weekends to get projects done, but I'm taking this weekend... and all of next week... and the following weekend off from life. :)
I'm giving myself a well deserved LONG vacation.

that swing is gorgeous--truly a work of art.

We usually are either doing a lot of DIY, or we're out being social, both of which are fun, but we've kind of hit the end of our reserve energy, and we've dedicated the long weekend to rest. We have a good store of snack foods, and we have a "just us" date planned to saunter over to the shopping center and have dinner and watch a movie on Satuday, but other than that, we're probably going to just sit at home and read, and sleep and play games together. I cannot WAIT.

We didn't specifically designate this weekend because it was a long weekend, though. This was just the first weekend we didn't already have a crap ton of stuff planned, so we blocked it off for some "me" and "us" time.

My holiday is supposed to be R&R, but it will likely be more W-O-R-K, via the internet, from a house a block from the beach. Sigh.

last weekend was our holiday up here in Canada and i had Friday off in addition to Monday.

i bought plants, planted them, trimmed hedges, mowed the lawn, painted furniture and took in a dress for a party next weekend.

Monday night i collapsed into bed in a heap!

I love that swing!

We just bought a condo, so all our our free time (nights, weekends, and especially long weekends!) is spent spackling, painting, installing new flooring...the list of projects is endless.

I saved the photo to my desktop and discovered its title is the designer: Nick Rawcliffe. Don't know why things like this get posted without a designer's, artist's, creator's name - a bit of a pet peeve of mine as an artist. AND a mega shopping trip to hopefully finally find the perfect TV stand.

Spring cleaning! Reorganizing, rearranging, laundry. Going to create new brain stimuli for the summer/recession.

I'll be studying for a Physics final. Anyone want to trade?

Sorry, cheers to Nick Rawcliffe. I may feel inspired to craft an object inspired by the swing he expertly designed. It is lovely.

I think this is the nicest porch swing I have ever seen.

I'm in *strong* agreement with the previous comment on giving image credits to the artists. C'mon, AT...share the love, share the credit!

Mine was a DIY weekend-- I made a peanut butter and chocolate birthday cake, put together patio furniture, had a small dinner party with a North African theme, planted an herb garden, washed the dog and repaired a chair that the cat had clawed up, fixed my sewing machine, and attempted a home decor project which unfortunately failed.

I had a DIY weekend doing some painting at my new house!
