RainShine LEED Platinum House by Robert M. Cain

The RainShine house is the first modernist home to achieve the LEED Platinum level in the Southeastern United States. Located in Decatur, Georgia and designed by architect Robert M. Cain, the 2,800 square foot home is designed to maximize natural light throughout the home and the butterfly roof harvests rainfall...

 
 

From the architect Robert M. Cain: "The butterfly roof is designed to capture rainfall for a rain harvest system located in the basement (Rain) and is oriented to maximize southern exposure for a roof mounted photovoltaic system (Shine)."
