apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Allegro Settee from Crate and Barrel

AllegroSettee.jpg

We love the clean lines and fabulous color of this settee, and its small profile makes it ideally suited for apartment living...

Upholstered in palm green microfiber, the Allegro Settee features a solid birch frame and an expresso stained base. Crate and Barrel also offers a lounge chair and ottoman in the Allegro line, but only the settee is currently on sale.

We have a spot where this might work, but according to the website, the Allegro is not available in stores so we can't sit on it to test comfort. Do any of our readers have the Allegro? If so, would you recommend it to others?

I can't tell from the dimensions... could this work as seating for a dining table?

Try out the lounge chair in the store if you can. I was interested in the lounge chair but it was pretty stiff and definitely needed a cushion to support your back. I'd imagine the settee would be similar.

"could this work as seating for a dining table?"

Doubtful - it appears that the seat is much too low for a dining table.

It looks great. But is is not comfortable. In stores, it usually has a pillow, because the back is too angled.

It is available on the floor at C&B Outlets, or at least the outlet in Alexandria, VA. I sat on it last week, lured in by the low price, and I agree with Usbek - it's not as comfortable as it is cute.

Old post and they do not sell it anymore, but I can say that I own this and the similar chair and I -love- them. They're very comfortable and equally fit in my modern office where they were originally and my Victorian home, where they are now. Shame they're not up for sale anymore -
