We love the beautiful lines and curved legs of the Savoir Chair at Crate and Barrel, and think it would right at home with our mix of modern and antique furniture. We even adore the hot pink color though if you prefer another shade, you might be able to take advantage of C&B's current sale on custom upholstery...
The Savoir Chair is made in the USA and features eco-friendly construction methods like a certified kiln-dried hardwood frame and a soy-based seat polyfoam cushion wrapped in regenerated fiber.
The Savoir Chair is $900 at Crate and Barrel; we would love to hear from any experienced readers about its comfort level.
I love this chair! (Though in these "tough economic times" I don't think I'll be buying it, sale or no.

Me too Christine. You had me on this one, till I got to the price. Mitchell Gold has some nice chairs that are more in the $600 range (I'm pretty sure that was non-sale price.)

I would like to see some nice comfy reading chairs that are a bit more affordable if possible. As a student, I want something that's nice and comfy, but not a huge ass papasan.

I came inches close to buying this chair, but decided to keep the chair I have. I love the Savior chair, and it's sister the Putnam Chair over at Room & Board. They both have classic lines, but are updated and chic without being trendy -- making them the perfect agnostic piece. Arm chairs can be too big, too masculine, too club-chair, and I like these because they are smaller, elegant.

I have this chair in "taupe" which is really more of a chocolate brown. Its extremely comfortable without being too soft. Its also very sturdy - It was a little pricey but was the first chair my husband and I could agree on . . .

Ironically, if it comes from Crate and Barrel it was most likely made by Mitchell Gold& Bob Williams.
