I actually was inspired by the Pottery Barn version (http://www.potterybarn.com/products/p3170/index.cfm?pkey=ckitchen%2Dlaundry%2Dorganization) and designed my own, including a metal magnetic board, in/out baskets, shelves, speakers and charger cubbies. I put my boyfriend to work building it, and it came out to under $100 and was exactly what I wanted!

This is really appealing, but I don't have that kind of money lying around.
Why does it have to be so expensive to live healthily? Good food, good clothes, good home (decor)... The better it is (for you) the more expensive it is.
Poor people deserve quality/healthy too! (I'm not that poor, but I can't spend $200 on a landing strip, let alone a lamp, etc.)

I clicked through all set to buy this as the most perfect thing for my study/workspace. $200? On sale? Boo...

I think this coming spring, I will need to enlist the help of my electrically inclined friend and build this myself. With slight mods, of course.
Does any one else think it would be cute with a little recessed spot on the shelf where you could anchor a fave mini vase or pencil holder?

It's cute, but it's not THAT cute. I'm sure that someone crafty could make an IKEA hack that would work as well or better... I bet the speakers are poor quality, too.

$200 seems expensive on the surface, but it is a charging and music-playing station, so it's not just a simple shelf or landing strip. it's pretty great idea...

That's a common problem with these types of things. They look great professionally styled in magazines & catalogs, but they just become clutter magnets in the real world..

This isn't from IKEA, so it'd be more of a J.C. Penney hack.

I like it- but - would like one alittle smaller and cheaper. But
love the idea.
