What is your one favorite element in your small, cool home? One of our favorite elements is our built-in work space. Using the same cabinetry and counter top as our kitchen we created a space for all of our projects. The space is used for sewing projects, extra kitchen counter space and as a desk.

What was one of the biggest challenges you faced in furnishing your small home? The biggest challenge was finding furniture that was multi-functional and affordable. Spatial constraints have forced us to rethink the uses of everyday objects. For example, our flip back couch becomes a bed for a guest. We added casters to our table to double as a kitchen island. Our work space becomes a buffet for serving and our low bookshelf is also a bench.

What is the kitchen floor? (It looks a lot like a wood-look ceramic tile I've been considering.)

Great place to start with. Amazing sense of color and composition & very efficient and functional use of space. I also love the way you divided the kitchen cabinets, creating a rythm in such a small place.

wow it looks big and those cabinets so straight and sturdy was the counter hard to cut. when i clicked on the dog it barked does it bark alot. it must be agood watch dog, does it watch the big tv, does it pee on the pole,
does the tv gets its power inductively from the overhead lines running though the space, are they PECO or NYSEG

I'd rotate the sofa 180 degrees, so that it wasn't looking directly at the kitchen.
