What was one of the biggest challenges you faced in furnishing your small home? Building the loft and ladder was a challenge, but with a little trigonometry and a few helping hands the job was completed. I did not want it to look too much like a college dorm but I needed the space and it was the most logical spacial solution.

The art is fun... love the complimentary color combos. And great high ceilings! I have loft envy ;)

Excellent use of this eensy space! I love that your furniture isn't so aggressively large, but you managed to fit a lot of it in there! Love, love, love the art!

I have never seen your apartment, or anywhere you have lived other than at home.....it's really nice! When we get in to a place where we can actually decorate...you're hired!

Is there any way to enlarge these images (other than the first one)? Make them larger please!!!

I agree. I want larger images, Zach. Very nice use of space. Not overly masculine. I'm not a fan of cave-offices, though. Had one in Austin and here in Miami. Ended up moving my home office next to a bright window. Makes me feel less secluded. Just can't work like that myself. Yours looks awesome though.

I like the red highlights. Your art is amazing. I always forget how great a painter you are!

Zach is a good friend of mine. As a designer and artist, he's got a great eye and apparently great decor tastes! Love it, its n/ the stereotypical bachelor pad.

that ladder/stairs are impressive

I think this space is very homey looking and functional. I was feeling it until I saw the loft bed. The bed is very boxy and the dark color is jarring contrast with the stiars and something about its lines says college to me. Perhaps a wood treatment that matched the stairs or someway to tie it into the rest of the apartment wouldnt make it so jarring.

is the bunk bed sturdy enough?

Trumysitque: I think i may have to agree with you jarring comment. I am considering restoring the blond wood look, lightening things up and the lines could definitely be improved. It still holds a little too much of a college field, of this I agree.

Iroh: You would be surprised.
