This is my second cure. I did Spring last year for my bedroom. It was the best thing I ever did. I am doing our office this year, but may switch to my spare bedroom. THe office may not take eight weeks....but the spare may take longer...hmmm.

This is my second cure, I did the cure this past fall. Mainly looking to focus on my main living area (kitchen, living room, and dinning room) though I'll probably give a little bit of attention to my bedroom as well. Hopefully I'll take more pictures this time...

Hello Baltimore and Mid-Atlantic Spring Curees!
Welcome to all those that have signed up as well as any latecomers. This will be the place for all of us to ask questions, offer advice, inspire, and motivate.
Spring is just days away now, and not only do I look forward to seeing your progress - but I've signed up as well and I can't wait to share my own!
So all... what will you be tackling over the next 7 1/2 weeks?

Hey All!
This is my first cure. I'm not confident I can keep the commitment but will try ... I am planning on tackling my basement, which is a complete disaster zone. The plan is to make it so we can use it as an extra family space--playroom and music room. We have ripped out part of the carpeting and need to get some new flooring. The question is WHAT?!?! Everything seems to have its own issue ... Also, I really really really need to get rid of a lot of books that are sitting in boxes down there. I find it soooo hard to get rid of books, but they really feel like they are dragging us all down. I was inspired to read about the tale of Maxwell's aunt and her books. I also feel motivated to let go of some books whenever I visit my father who has decades and decades worth of musty dusty books. You'd think a bunch of books would feel inspiring but they really feel more depressing than anything else.
I live in Towson. I have kids and a dog and a husband.
Okay, so I'm in!

Hi Baltimore!
Good luck on the Spring Cure. It's great to have a place for local voices and let us know how it works for you.

How is everybody doing with the Cure out there? Run into any hurdles? Need advice or motivation? Feel free to drop a comment and let everybody know. The master bedroom was what I desperately needed to tackle. So far I've finished the painting, which looks great. Have been stuck trying out different window treatments, but I finally think I now know how I want to proceed. Next, to return old ones and buy new ones, then on to hanging mirrors and art.

I haven't gotten nearly as much done as I've wanted to. I did manage to partially clean out my kitchen, tidy up my bedroom a bit and just in general declutter my place. I had wanted to paint and rearrange my living room, but I just haven't had the time or energy to do a lot of the things I've wanted to do (work got really busy for me recently). I'm still at it though, going to try to set aside some time this weekend to clear out more stuff from my kitchen and try to get my room more in order. I also still have several huge stacks of DVDs that I need to take out of their cases and put into binders (which I've been putting off for a couple months now... ).

Man, I finally tackled some of the work I needed to do in my bedroom. It's so much better now. I had been dreading and putting it off for weeks since it involved massive amounts of cleaning and decluttering, vacuuming (i hate my vacuum cleaner... it'll random shut off half way through a room and won't turn on again for 15-20 minutes...) and then moving a bunch of stuff around. Took a few hours last evening, but it was very much so worth it. (Pics soon hopefully)
Now if I can just finish up my kitchen, put away my dvds, and get unlazy enough to rearrange my living room...

Hey All! How is everyone concluding this Cure? I have somehow managed to be 4 weeks behind! I bit off way more than I could chew and attempted to do my entire apartment (made of 2 rooms, 1 being the living/dining/kitchen/foyer). I've gotten my lists, cleaning, and organizing accomplished. As far as the rest...... I'm gonna need until June-July for that. I hope I'm not the only one......
