If you are still working on your holiday shopping, or are looking for the perfect piece to add to your newly Cured home, then be sure to drop by this weekend's Art Market in Baltimore hosted by the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) to help fulfill your handcrafted needs...
The Second Annual Art Market starts today and runs through Saturday from 10am to 6pm every day. The fair features the work of over 200 students and faculty, and includes original artwork, prints, photographs, furniture, and more. The Art Market will be held at Brown Center's Leidy Atrium and Falvey Hall lobby (1301 Mount Royal Ave in Baltimore MD).
Sponsored by the MICA Alumni Association, the Art Market provides an opportunity for holiday shoppers and collectors to find new works by emerging artists as well as collectibles from leading artists in their respective fields. Visitors will also have the opportunity to talk one-on-one with the artists about their work. Admission to the market is free, and a sales help to fund needs-based scholarships to the school. Its amazing. As a former student i've seen the mind blowing work that comes from the students and professors. Great, relatively inexpensive work from some of the most talented up-and-coming artists in the country. Definitely worth the drive if you are within a few hours.
