definitely the animal part-1 big husky/lab, and 1 large yellow lab who both think they weigh 15lbs. HA. Id go with missing a scented soy candle or sage burning and slippers. Gotta go with bunch of pillows to lower, push up, etc different body parts lol. maybe some cello music in the background.

Stretched out on the couch with a nice thick crocheted blanket, two kitties draped over my legs, a book and a nice hot cup of coffee.

I don't know if this is a relaxation ritual per se, but I love the first crisp day when I get to put on a turtleneck and boots for the first time, and sitting outside is aaaaaaalmost over for the season.

I'm sure I'll be mocked, but I also go with my snuggie. It's nice for when I'm trying to do something besides lay still.

I second hot cocoa. And yeah... if you can't wear a robe backwards with a straight face, you should probably not go near a snuggie. lol Do something besides laying still? like what? Jogging? lol I like a cup of coffee too... with friends; that relaxes me.

might as well list them all:

Adagio hot tea with the perfect tea cup
my border collie
pj's
a few good books
a throw
a small fire...

On warmer fall days:
my border collie
bicycle
and some good boots to go for walk or ride in the park.

In France, Autumn is already very cold. The solution : a chimney fire, a warm blanket, a good book and a glass of wine ...

Its not cold in San Francisco yet buy I look forward to the flannel sheets and I sleep with the window open.

Making a big pot of soup, java log in the fireplace, friends over for some cards.

Pumpkin pie candle burning, my gram's old reading lamp, the kittens curled on my lap, and the window cracked, so I can smell the neighbor's fireplace smoke. Oh, and popcorn. Popped on the stove, old-skool.

Chai, a good book, and my down comforter at night with the window cracked open so I can feel the crisp air but stay cozy.

I miss my parents' fireplace, that definately added to the chai and book.

Two things are missing:
1. My kitten napping in a ball beside me
2. My Country Home Apple Valley candle lit so it fills the room with a fall-y scent :)

Djluckyonline -- When I said do stuff besides lie still, I mean have a cup of tea, type on my laptop, read a book, answer the phone, etc. All depends on what I'm doing. I will bring up the snuggie since you don't have to take it off just to answer the phone where with a blanket you at least have to uncover your top half to.
