A New Kitchen Garden for the White House

Did you see the news yesterday about a kitchen garden at the White House? Michelle Obama is breaking ground today on a new White House kitchen garden, which reportedly will be filled with organic seeds and seedlings and fertilized with compost from the White House kitchens. That last nugget of information nearly sent us into spasms of joy: the White House composts? Excellent!

Michelle must have read my post "Why Eating Your Veggies is Good Feng Shui"...LoL! But seriously, Alice Waters was on 60 Minutes this past Sunday talking about this very subject. Eating locally grown produce is making a comeback and the progressive Obamas are really leading the way. Thanks, Michelle!

Every one take out the ice for your kool-aid. While the economy is free falling and your hero signed the bill that allowed those bonuses, most of you are outraged about, you folks are clapping and hopping over a veggie garden in the WH. Dear Lord, talk about the degrading of common sense!
