it's beautiful, but that's a lot of flourescent light, no?

It's a clever use of space (I covet all that shelving). It could look stunning with some color & texture. Now, it's very sterile & bland. I honestly thought it was a lab at first.

what was the point of the bedroom photo? the huge open space and the way everything is stored-but-displayed makes it look like a store.

i love the white space, but the bits of traditional furniture looks great. love the white kitty too.

It's soooo, so sterile. The building is gorgeous, but it really needs color and texture, just as mear said.

I love all the exposed storage makes you really think about what you have and do you need it. I love the white with the traditional dark pieces but I would go even more rustic with a bit more texture. I am not crazy about the lighting, that would drive me batty. Softer light with the natural light would be much nicer. My dog is white with brown spots so he would look great in there!

I like the use of antiques--and the fact that they're older ones, not MCM. But it's still not a place I'd want to come home to.

It's pretty boring. And the way the chairs are all lined up against the wall makes it look like a waiting room.

I don't like the flourescent lighting. And as soon as I saw the white cat I knew the owners had gone to far with the white thing. Still, I want to be alone in that house for a few days with no noise and all those books...

I like the rooms where the stark white was offset by beautiful wood antiques. The other rooms looked a bit.....cold and empty. It's still a really cool place I would love to live in.

I know there are still a few here on AT who think books are 'clutter'. I think these pictures are a great illustration of the difference books make in terms of warming up and humanizing what could be a rather cold and stark space. I think it just needs some more textiles and living things (plants to take advantage of all that light, though the cat made me smile).

Just think how the space would be transformed with a bright quilt on the wall, a plant or two . . . .

AT just seems to love these all-white, lab-like dwellings (no way I can call them homes!), and I just don't get it. I hope the owners are happy there, but this place looks like a morgue to me.

Oh man, I feel like a Bret Easton Ellis movie could be filmed here.

Beautiful space, gorgeous shelving, lots of light and high ceilings add a lot of interest. The decorating is a bit sparse for my taste and I'm not crazy about the flourescent lighting, but it is still a lovely home with a lot of potential, plus the cat was very cute.

This building housed two photo studios before it was sold to a developer, I think. Anyway, I went there at night to print B&W photos for a photographer to make extra money while I was in college.

I like the space, but there's too much flourescent lighting. I know it might be a legacy of the building's past, but flourescent lighting everywhere makes any living space feel cold to me.
