I've been slightly obsessed with vintage maps lately. Maybe it's an extension of my love for vintage globes or the adorable house tour The Etsy Blog recently featured (see image 2 above). Either way, I'm game for softening our space with a vintage map, what about you?

White Enamel Flatwa...
I managed to acquire a vintage pull down chart map of the Roman empire under Augustus when a building at my college underwent a renovation. It now hangs in my home office and is a nice complement to my bookshelves. Plus, since I occasionally review books about the Roman empire it actually is useful as well.
For other spaces I think a framed vintage map is always a nice touch when a pull down chart might look out of place.
Oh yes please! I just lovvvvve the vintage roller-map look.
I got a brand-new-in-the-box double pull down roller map from the 1960s from eBay for $30 last month. I new I was on the cutting edge of design! (wink!)
