Today is a special day. It is the last work day before all our collective holidays commence this weekend. While Sunday and Monday will be nice, Friday - in our mind - is the sweetest, as everything quiets down, people leave work early and the possibility of the long weekend stands before us all. Today is the day to take a deep breath and enjoy the season (and thank God the strike's over).
At Apartment Therapy central we are a little jealous of our colleagues over at The Kitchen, because while all of our party planning is cooling down, they are gearing up for cooking, cooking and more cooking in the next few days.
It's not really fair that they get to talk about cooking EVERY day, and we only get to talk about moving the living room furniture around every once in awhile.
At least we have New Year's coming up...
That said, the next two weeks are going to be quieter at AT.com as all three sites take a break and roll out their Best of 2005 posts. Alec in LA will be back after New Year's and we, as well as The Kitchen, will be back on January 9th after Sara Kate and I finish a 10 day silent retreat up in Shelbourne Falls, MA. From the techie world of NYC blogging, that is going to be our vacation, and we can hardly wait.
BUT, never fear. We're going to have a few open threads running so that people can stay in touch with one another and Jill will watching the pot to make sure it doesn't boil over.
But enough talking, there's some great Friday posts to be written. Enjoy!
