We've covered a few ways to fix a slow draining sink without chemical drain opener, but here's a new one: using a recycled plastic soda bottle. All you need is a plastic bottle, knife, marker, tape, and a little ingenuity.
The basic premise of this DIY drain opener is that the plastic spirals down into the drain, and grabs a hold of any hair and debris that might be clogging the drain. You can make this drain cleaner in under 10 minutes using little more than a 2 liter plastic bottle and a few standard household tools.
