Ah cords, the bane of existence for those seeking an uncluttered desk area. If you are like me, you have a cord to charge your laptop, one for your iPhone, another for your external hard drive, yet another for a media card reader, etc. Unplggd featured the Bluelounge's StudioDesk back in June, but with the potential for more gadgets as gifts it's a product worth revisiting.
Bluelounge is well known for its solutions to other cable and cord woes so the design of this desk seems to be a natural progression for this studio.

Designed specifically for laptop users, the StudioDesk is made of mahogany and laminate with a removable faux leather mat cover. Below a sliding desktop surface lies a storage compartment for your power strips, adapters, hubs and hard drives. A slot spanning almost the whole width of the desktop provides a access to any cables needed from your desktop. All of this allows for only one cable to exit the desk.
Incredibly functional with a modern, timeless design, the desk arrives in a box in 5 simple pieces. Only the legs need to be attached. The StudioDesk is available for purchase from Bluelounge for $599.95.

Clever design. I really like this desk! But not enough to part with $600, though :(
Loved it in June, still love it. I wish all furniture makers could be as thoughtful about the users' lifestyles!!
The keyboard placement is not at an ergonomically correct height. Your elbows should be at 90 degrees with the backs of your hands parallel to the floor. 29.5" is the standard desk height, but the keyboard should be about 25" to prevent strain.
