Our freelance gigs come with some perks – this time it was enjoying a four-course meal on the top of the DeSoto Building in the heart of downtown Portland. While food from the Gilt Club was terrific, we were more impressed with the surprisingly comfy – and appropriately airy – chairs and the simple table décor.
With a little research, we spotted the perforated Supernatural Chair, designed by Ross Lovegrove, at Portland's own Hive Modern. If you're in the market for a one-of-a-kind dining experience ($45 per person), head here. If you're in the market for a ghostly chair, pick one up for yourself here.
