Inspired by Alison Headley’s great DIY jewelry display idea we spotted in her bathroom when we got to shoot her house tour, we thought we’d look at some other ways in which folks in Apartment Therapy house tours have displayed their sparkly wares. Some choose the hanging route, others like a nice contained tabletop display, others go another step farther, framing their jewelry. These five ideas are a pretty accessible option for most any home or style, but we admit, we like pretty far out jewelry display ideas, too.

White Enamel Four-P...
The first photo looks like Ikea's Grundtal towel hooks are used... I use those too for necklaces! I also use the Grundtal tp holder for my chunky bracelets. They work perfectly.
You can also get an old candelabra or a mannequin hand and use that to hold your jewelry. I picked both up at a local flea market and spray painted them to match. The necklaces don't tangle, and I always know exactly where they are. Next, I'm planning on getting a three-tiered dessert plate on which to display rings and bracelets.
I recently opened a used clothing store with a small jewelry section. I created an earring holder from a radiator cover (with simple wood frame) and used a cake tray for a bracelet/pin :)

As much as I love creative jewelry displays, they just won't work in my house. #1 - It's too cluttered looking for my husband's taste. #2 - The cat would pull it all down anyway.
I have a mannequin hand for rings as well as another piece that my friend (a welder) made that holds my necklaces and bracelets. However, my other friend uses a tie rack and it's perfect. It can hold a lot and nothing ever gets tangled. If I didn't have my current system, I'd definitely go for a tie rack.
Because of my small space, I need to utilize my wall space. A simple piece of cork board with some color tacs would do the trick! hang it on the wall, and you are done!
In photo #2 I would have painted the utility hooks a different color. The white stands out too much, looks cheap.
A belt rack also can hold jewelry.
I created a earring holder out of tulle and a dollar store picture frame. Love it!
Earring Storage
I also made one to display my handmade rings when I go to shows.
