Here is something I basically thought I'd never say: I really like all-white (or mostly white) rooms. As someone who has always considered herself a print patron and a color connoisseur, the idea of a room with white walls, white fixtures, white furnishings, maybe even white floors is foreign. But something happens in my brain when I see a bright, white room devoid of pizazz; it relaxes. I breathe easier. It's like a design catharsis. So, as a traitor to myself and my proclaimed aesthetic leanings, here are 12 white rooms to soothe your soul.

Got milk? Sorry, it was just too easy. This milky white room found on Vtwonen is simply satiating and heck, probably does the body good.

Clearly, vaulted, beamed ceilings and blonde ash wood floors are the perfect complement to white decor. Just a tiny dash of gray and the greenery visible through the French doors is all this room from Style at Home needs to sing.

White has the bad rap of being sterile, but you can put that reputation to sleep by orchestrating the look with rich textures like this bedroom featured on Birmingham Home & Garden.

Definitely not a room for those with pets or little ones (or just any adult who's clumsy), but it sure is refreshing to look at from afar, isn't it? (Via Home Inspiration Ideas)

Does white have this effect on you or do your eyes crave color?
