Decorate with Elephants!

The Thai New Year (known as Songkran) is from April 13-15. The elephant is so revered that it is Thailand's national symbol. A Thai legend even states that marriage is like an elephant – with the husband being the front legs, choosing the direction and the wife is the back legs and provides the power. So in honor of Songkran, I gathered 5 handcrafted or dual purpose elephant-themed housewares to consider.

1. Animal Attraction Elephants Pillow - $69.95 by Modern Dose
A pair of facing elephants is considered good feng shui, so how could you go wrong with this adorable handmade pillow?

2. Elephant Teapot - $15.99 Target
Your next pot of tea will be made extra special with this sweet and affordable elephant teapot and serves the dual purpose of cuteness and function instead of just being another dust-collecting tchotchke.

3. Needle Felted Elephant - $18.00 13Chestnuts on Etsy
This cute little handcrafted guy would be right at home on your desk or on a bookshelf!

4. Elephant Ice Skater Wood Block Print - $35 Storenv
Elephants aren't always serious. This quirky print could inspire some interesting conversations.

5. Karkuteillä Wallpaper - €89.00 keckenlisa.nl
Give an easy, yet playful makeover to an accent wall. As seen in the photo, it can act as a wall-sized mural, saving the need to figure out what additional art you'd need in that space!
