I own at least nine acoustic guitars and they are all set up and ready to play. Sure, some sound better than others but each has its own unique personality that makes it special. There is one guitar, however, which rarely comes off the wall. It is a 1959 Silvertone, a big-bodied sunburst-orange archtop that looks amazing and sounds, well, a bit rough. I give it a pass because of its age and beauty, and its main purpose now is wall decor and conversation starter. There are a lot of guitars out there that are better seen rather than heard, and a number of them would look right at home in a kid's room.

note: Some of these guitars are legitimate beginner instruments, others are just toys. Do your homework before making a purchase.
