Several months ago we wrote about decorating with kites in childrens' rooms. We purchased a fun dragonfly kite, still soaring over the closet door in the nursery. It's a great effect, but check out what an entire swarm of the same dragonflies looks like. We spotted the breathtaking installation posted over at ATLA.
We may not have the square footage that the featured baby boutique Weego has, but it inspires us to find smaller kites (or other objects) that we could purchase a bunch of and install in the nursery. This is a case where more is more.

That certainly is inspiring. Both for my inner decorator and for the child's imagination.

Love it, and have tried it in my kids room -- the problem, and maybe it is just a problem here in the western prairies -- is dust. You have to take down the kites regularly and dust or wash them, especially if you have asthmatic children. The kites are huge dust magnets.
Um, swarm of giant bugs is more of a phobia-inducer than design, to me. But hey, I'm glad they like dragonflies.
