Call us crazy, but we don't think we'll ever get tired of vintage metal lockers. Done well the industrial-looking pieces offer just the right amount of off-beat charm, a bit of nonchalance (a shrug, if you will) in an otherwise right and proper room. Click through the images above for a few ideas how you might incorporate these pieces into your home.

i love the industrial look in a kid's or a teenager's room..and also loved a previous post on using file cabinets for the ktichen (in a house tour i guess)
I agree with susrith. Looks especially good in "Billy's room."
*sigh* I love industrial furnishings. The fourth pic is dreamy.
I'm with you guys on the high love factor. Because of the trend the prices on these have gone ridiculously sky high in our community. Even at the Salvation Army where they should be a bargain. Waiting until after the trend seems kinda pointless even though there'd always be a place for them in the storage room or woodshop. I love them all, all colors, all stages of age showing or not. The wake up sounds of the metal slamming would be better than coffee.
I love the wallpaper in that first pic!
Are these vintage? In terms of design, most of them look exactly the same as the ones I had in high school 6-ish years ago, though I guess they might actually be 20-ish years old.
@LEPIDOPTERY I thought the same thing, some of these don't appear vintage at all.
The last ones, from Dave's New Place.. his our genuine vintage, I wish I could learn more about them! I have a set that have similar hardware & appearance.. the info I get from the company name on the number plates says they were in advertised in production in 1919.
I just bought one for my room! Looks awesome (though needs a good cleaning), and it's a near perfect height for my TV. Also, it fits my shoes pretty perfect as well :)
