Deep In The Woods: Reclaimed Timber Furniture

When you're looking for furniture with longevity, adaptability and timeless style it's really hard to look past good quality timber, and reclaimed timber is one of the greenest sources. I'm smitten with these stunning pieces by Deep in the Woods whose simple, sleek, contemporary designs highlight the natural qualities of timber.

The predominantly Australian timbers are sourced from old warehouses, factories, stables, piers and mills in and around Melbourne, so often you will know the previous life of the reclaimed timbers used in the new pieces.

1. Provata Ascot Vale - Communal Table: This custom table and stool set was designed and crafted for the Provata deli in Ascot Vale and it forms a strong centre for their deli floor.

2. Dining on wheels: Made from recycled Mountain Ash this three piece dining table and stool set has all the qualities I look for in a piece of furniture. It's slim, compact, recycled, biodegradable, elegant, durable, and adaptable. As an added bonus, it's also easy to move for cleaning, rearranging or storing! Why aren't more things built on castor wheels?

3. Reclaimed Oregon Desk: This stunningly simple desk would work equally well as a full sized desk or dining table with bench seating.

Deep in the Woods have tables, side boards and entertainment pieces available in their Kensington studio or you can contact them directly to design custom pieces that suit your home, purpose and aesthetic.
