Well we've got a sneak peek into a recent outdoor home project of Austin's very own Queen of Kitsch, Jennifer Perkins, whom you may remember from her awesome house tour. With the help of her husband, they've added a unique touch to their outdoor space...

060509fry-02.jpg We've definitely seen and loved alternative plant holders before on Apartment Therapy. Using restaurant-style fry baskets, Jennifer Perkins and her husband Chris created one-of-a-kind hanging flower baskets for their backyard. While they admit acquiring the fry baskets are a bit of a challenge, everything else is quite simple. Utilizing items like coconut husk for the lining, potting soil and their favorite plants, they were able to create a couple of quirky accents to hang along their fence. Could this be a perfect DIY for your own backyard space? Find the full instructions and more photos on Jennifer's blog.

Well, Jennifer has been doing many terrarium-themed posts over the past week---you might check them out for inspiration for a little indoor gardening of your own!
