Dehumidifier Makes Drinking Water Out of Air

The sustainable RV we posted earlier today may want to consider getting a Watermill. A glorified dehumidifier, the Watermill draws in moisture from the air around it, passing the water through a carbon filter and then exposing to an ultraviolet sterilizer to eliminate bacteria and produce up to 12 liters of drinking water a day. The system is installed outside your home -- inside air is up to 70 times more polluted than outside air, even in dense cities like New York -- and then connected directly to your sink, an existing bottled water system, your refrigerator, or a custom dispenser...

The Watermill will be available in February 2009. You can be sure that we'll be trying to get our hands on one in order to test it! via Geekologie
