They got the name right for this one. It's not just an art table, it's a deluxe art center. If you've got a little one (or more) who is serious about arts and crafts, consider investing in this art command center by Guidecraft.
The best feature is the large flat surface that can accommodate all sorts of projects with a built-in paper roll. There is a place for everything - markers, crayons, paintbrushes, books, paper, and scissors -- and everything can be put away quickly. The complete set (chair included) goes for $430.

me too, I want one too!
I want one of these in grown up size. Amazing
beautiful but wow is that expensive!!
$430 is a bit steep for what this is. Really, it is.
Anyone have a DIY for this?
Pretty simple concept for the money. A small book case next to a table. Connect the two and buy some bins and some paint. Could be an easy weekend project, and any artist would love!
Come through for us, Ana White!
How about 1) buy an IKEA Billy bookcase, preferably on Craigslist, 2) assemble without the particle board back panels 3) buy two table legs from IKEA and a table top or large shelf a bit smaller than the width of the bookshelf (or have a piece of wood cut to size at the hardware store) 4) attach the table top to one of the book shelves on one side and attach the legs on the other side. I agree with others- not worth $430.
love it, but yes pricey. i'd love to create something similar. thanks ek76 on the ikea ideas.
Love it, but for the price, i would HAVE to create my own.
Way too pricey!!! With as short as it appears to be, this would last a very short time, even though it does appear to be quite sturdy. I also don't like that the chair has no back, as a child who loved her art, I could and would spend hours at a desk like that. During which time I would enjoy leaning back to daydream and consider my next flourish, from time to time! Unless you are boxed into a corner, with the wall to lean upon, this would not be possible! Why on earth would you spend this amount of money, and have to purchase a better chair??? When are companies going to start consulting parents on kids items???
Ikea Expedit is two-sided, and sturdier than a Billy with no back. You can buy a counter/table top and legs at Ikea, as well as the paper roll and roller. You could also create the paper roller with window curtain hardware.
