Do you have a pet that acts like a vacuum around the Christmas Tree? Do you have a block when it comes to baking, or a lactose intolerance? Rest assured, you can have these wonderful holiday scents without the hassle.
The Demeter Library is a fabulous little universe where you can find pretty much any fragrance on Earth. From Christmas Tree to Cranberry, Demeter makes fabulous atmosphere scents for body and home. My personal favorite is Thunderstorm, but be sure to browse the entire library. It's worth the look.

I've been a fan of Demeter for years! Their Dirt fragrance reminds me of warm spring days planting acres of vegetables when I was a kid.
I wear Thunderstorm almost every day!
I love Demeter, I have a ton of their scents, but I think they might actually be TOO good for me to handle. I wore their Leather lotion for about 6 months consistently, loved it to death, then suddenly one day I put it on and the smell made me want to throw up. Their Paperback scent is my favorite of all time and I wore it every day for the last year, but lately when I put it on it starts making me feel slightly ill, too. I think I just like their scents so much that I end up wearing them everyday, forever, and apparently for me that isn't sustainable. But everyone should definitely give them a try, they're amazing.
THERE'S A PAPERBACK SCENT?!
I've heard the scents don't stay on too well. Anyone have staying-power accolades?
I love Demeter, too! I have the Christmas Tree one, which smells so much like pine trees that I make my boyfriend wear it because it's too masculine for me. I also have Christmas in New York, which smells like flavored coffee with a hint of citrus and flowers. But my all time favorite is Wet Garden. Smells like grass and dirt and lilies put together.
As for staying on - they are alcohol-based, not oil-based, so they will evaporate after a while. It also depends on how sensitive a sniffer you have and where you put them. Spritzing on clothes is more likely to stay on than skin, but I always dab a bit behind each ear, on my collarbones, and my wrists. I like that it's subtle, unlike a lot of perfumes out there.
Yeah, they definitely stay on clothes a lot better than skin. The paperback stays enough that I have gotten compliments on it a few hours after I put it on, but isn't overpowering and it does fade somewhat quickly. I like it, because working in an office I like to be cautious about not infecting the air with scents that I love but that others may not share my opinion on. So I love the fact that I can smell it all day, since it stays in my sweater forever, but it doesn't really effect anyone who isn't cuddled up to me.
