Couldn't find it, couldn't buy it, so we built it. Starting tomorrow we're going to be slowly rolling out our new comments system across all seven blogs. It's very, very cool, but necessarily simple in design to start with.
The new system will allow you to register as a user and give you an account, password and personal profile page. You will be able to choose a unique screen name and NEVER, NEVER again will you have to enter the security codes when commenting or voting on a survey...
It will also ensure a much fairer contest environment when it comes to reader voting, as each user will only be allowed to vote once on each survey. This was something of a concern in our last contest.
The Personal Profile pages will be slowly built out over time, allowing you to store and bookmark posts and pictures to your own page, email one another and keep track of all your comments.
As for the name of this page, Personal Profile Page sounds a tad boring, so we're going to take suggestions as to what to call it.
Some ideas so far....
My Room
My Apt.
Personal Style Tray
Oh, also, this new system is still a beta version, so please be patient and let us know if you have any problems. We'll fix them.

yipeeeeee it worked. Hi, my name's not really sam, but I have always wanted to be called sam, so here, sam i am :) I'm a girl though, just for the record.
I don't care what you call the profile section, but I want you to bring back links to poster's home pages. I've found other interesting blogs from people posting in the comments section. It's more in the spirit of blogging that way.
This is a test from a small nook in small nyc studio.
How about "NYSunshine's Palette"?
