What happens when an architect goes to the farmers market? If you're Chicago-based Jean Dufresne, you launch a design challenge. Part of a series of small competitions, the AIA asked How could better pop-up booths make life easier for farmers and help them show off their products? The winner was a G-shaped booth with a simple frame that folds down into a hand truck, so it can move food and the canopy at the same time.
