Lauren Liess launched her studio in 2007 and she has since gained a reputation for being an intuitive, fresh and down-to-earth interior designer who designs highly personal homes her clients love. Her designs are a seamless blend of old and new, adeptly combining the unexpected and making it work. To Lauren, home is extremely important: It's the place we go to relax, to be ourselves, and to spend quality time with the people we care about. It's the backdrop for our lives and by figuring how clients "tick" design-wise, Lauren creates homes that are completely personal and suited to clients' individual tastes.
She writes the popular design and lifestyle blog, Pure Style Home, chronicling daily life as a wife, mother & designer, and has been featured in publications such as Better Homes and Gardens Magazine, the Washington Post and the Washingtonian. Lauren has recently launched a new line of furniture and textiles which embody her classic yet fresh "pure style" aesthetic and are available through Pure Style Home. She's thrilled to have been selected to design a room in this year's DC Design House for Children's Hospital.
