Whether subtle and sweet or bold and dramatic, the ombré trend has taken off in a big way. While this isn't the first and likely not the last time the trend has taken hold, its influence has been seeping lately into fashion, beauty and home decor. With this easy to adopt trend you can pick up pretty faded bowls, arrange flowers by shifts in color, or highlight stair rails with a gradually desaturated hue. I haven't quite jumped on the ombre bandwagon but I really like that tablecloth and the spindles on the stairs.
All I can think of when I see ombre, especially blue, is Beverly D'Angelo and Chevy Chase after their encounter with an airplane toilet. I've seen some bags I like on Etsy with it but I just can't get passed that image when I see fabric done in it.
I don't mind the furniture, though it's not really something I would choose.
Some lovely uses -- especially the stairs, although it's all the surrounding white that makes that work -- in another colorway, it would be lost.
I did this with our picnic table outside, unbelievable what you can do with spray paint.

I love the ombre, I've thought about trying to make a new shower curtain using it. One where the top is lighter so it allows more light into the shower.
