Letterpress calendars or exquisitely packaged chocolates are usually safe. Most designers are so particular about the objects they wear or use to decorate that you are generally better off going with something disposable. Or so I keep trying to explain to my mom :)

I would LOVE a new couch, but that's not happening. Maybe new bedding or, although not really in the "design" category, an electric mixer.
Jill Rosenwald Newport Rug, I've been eyeing it all year and it'd go great with my new yellow sectional that I got at a bargain on Craigslist, west elm Blake sectional for $700!! I'm asking for cash since I've saved up for the rug, definitely a splurge for my budget

My older greyhound is undersgoing some medical tests and all I wish for is for her to be healthy and live till an advanced age.
