In London, Design Museum is building a new space, and are marking the occasion with a time capsule to be opened in 2112. On hand to contribute to the design-themed lot were museum founder Terence Conran, Paul Smith, and others. The capsule contains a wide collection of items, including an iPhone 4S, miniature Wishbone chair, Arne Jacobsen coffee pot, and a tin of anchovies.
In other news, prototypes for New York's underground park system are in production, and an old barn goes modern. See the headlines after the jump.
