In case you missed it, Nate Berkus' tour of Oprah's Shangri-La-style tea house in California is now online at Nate's site and at Shelterpop. (Oprah reveals that the extravagant retreat doubles as her "napping house" — hey, if you were Oprah you'd probably have a napping house, too.) In other news, Parsons launches a design festival and Graham & Brown introduces a new paint line. More news and links below.

Shaw's Original Fir...
The concept of a "napping house" is great fantasy material. There are worse ways for a busy, sought-after celebrity to spend money. Most people can't have, and don't need, a napping house, but I can make my bedroom a private retreat that has the same functions. My bedroom is more the heart of my home than my kitchen is.
is there a link?
Well it would have been nice to see actual photos of the house instead of multiple photos of Oprah and Nate's lovefest with each other. Sigh.
Sarah, did you look at the photos?? There's no house tour. Just a Garden Tour. The old oak is my favorite part, and it's a gorgeous garden. But it's not a house tour.
Oprah's napping house is bigger than most of the condos in my building!
