Sometimes we turn to the back of Vogue issues for the Index checklists - figures in art, design, and fashion who share their inspirations for their work. One that we loved recently was London-based artist Catherine Cazalet, who paints murals and room screens (see examples of her work below). "Her inspirations include Roman palazzi and the Victoria & Albert Museum, but no room, she insists, 'should be without a sense of humor'." See resources below for the rich, colorful inspirations shown on her Vogue page:
- Andijan washed fabric (covered Ikat pillows)
- Ralph Lauren Home teapot
- Vintage Suzani chair (image via Decor8)
- Farrow & Ball Hague Blue paint
- Charleston House in Sussex, England
