We've seen a new fun trend cropping up on the horizon recently: photo booth announcements. Did you do something special to tell friends you were in the family way? What about a gender reveal?
Erin of Design for Mankind and her husband made the most adorable gesture when they shared this series of photos in which balloons tell the story. The couple recently welcomed Bee, and you can find Erin blogging about all things baby at her other new addition, Design for Minikind.
Congratulations guys!

I miss the spontaneity and time sensitivity of actual photo booths. There are few kinds of photos I enjoy looking at more... even other people's.
One correction: this is a sex (not gender) reveal. And while I get the visual logic of using pink and blue, it makes me sad that we're still doing this to children, before they are even born. I think it'd be a step in the right direction to quit announcing sex at all.
i think this is cute and very fun! i'm always thrilled for friends to find out about exciting steps in their life, including their kids. if you don't care, then don't comment!
i don't need to know about every bowel movement, but that's a story for another day.
I thought I was being so cool ten years ago when I did a photo booth style strip for our Save the Dates. Ha. Little did I know, it was going to be the only thing I was ever ahead of the curve on.
This is completely adorable. I love the idea.
(Who pooped in everyone's Cheerios, AT?)
I rather keep the sex a surprise but, maybe that's just me?
If somebody mailed this I might kinda roll my eyes. Posted on their blog, it feels fun. Our social world has yet to do anything fancier than a group text. We didn't find out...but I knew anyway.
I would think this was super cute announcement. My OCD wishes the word girl were on the top so when she blew it up in the frame we could see the word too.
GreyNY - unique people and we should support each others individual styles and methods. I am in favor of genders. While it seems you are gendernutral. Both differing but both ok. "You live yours and I will live mine and we will live on this earth together....just fine. "
Oooh hows that for Dr. Seuss moment???!!! Likes? figured not :/ o btw i am a girl that does not like pink and my daughter does! I def dont force it but def allowing her to be....her
JACKIED302, I thought the same thing about the word "girl"
This is a sweet idea. For a friend I made a special cake. It was chocolate covered with ganache, on top it red "It's a..." . When they cut into the cake and held up a slice everyone could see the pink cherry filling. The guests enjoyed every minute of it and the suspense leading up to the reveal was amazing. But this is New Orleans. We throw parties for anything and always go overboard, cannot count the bottles of champagne drunk that night.
