A few months ago, Design Within Reach launched their own collection of Kitchen Cabinetry. To complement that move, they've recently introduced bathroom collections of cabinetry, fixtures (sinks & tubs), hardware and mirrors — all distinguished by clean modern lines and high-quality materials...
• The Earth collection includes American Walnut cabinetry, chrome accents and a compact sink with a built-in shelf.
• Wall-mounted sinks and cabinets in the Block series save space in small homes.
• This Aluminum Medicine Cabinet has a mirror outside and inside (what a great idea!)
• Most of these shelving and storage units are in the Liquid Collection of products.
• This Compact Sink design includes an integrated towel rack — perfect for small spaces.
DWR has roughly grouped the various bathroom furnishings elements into these categories: Sol, Air, Earth and Noir. We found it much easier to browse their collection by specific items — sinks & tubs, mirrors, toilet paper holders, etc.

It's beautiful! The modern accessories add a crisp flare to every room. There are other urban furniture stores that have great contemporary pieces such as these. I'll suggest this one:BoConcept
I agree! Not only are they out of reach, they're out of touch. That's why I love Ikea - design within my price range.
Actually, DWR's name does not refer to the prices of their items. It's a little more literal than that. Read about it here.
Not the sinks....but for much of the other decor....you could probably pull off an acceptable knock off with carefully chosen paint, shelves and accessories. I really love this color.
Speaking of knock-offs... Ikea's new bathroom line looks very similar to the DWR Sol bath sink/cabinet combo. I've been wanting to redo my bathroom....

I've found out the hard way that this is not even design within reach in the intended sense. After ordering a bed and mattress set at the very beginning of February, and promised that it delivered within eight weeks, I'm still waiting on it. Now the DWR people say they're just hoping it gets to us before the end of June. That would make it over nineteen weeks for them to get it to us. Assuming that estimate is correct. Sort of not within reach at all, and not for any amount of money, either.
I've already mentioned this here. But I just now see from their website that they're having a bed and mattress sale, and it sort of sticks in my craw. How do I let people know? And, how irresponsible is it for them to have a sale on items that are already four months on backorder?
Considering how new DWR's bath line is, I'd venture to say that their product is the knockoff. And the insane price point! C'mon....who really buys this stuff?
