Little has changed about the design of the paint can since its inception in the nineteenth century. Designer Alec Machin has reimagined paint packaging, using smaller cardboard containers so people can purchase only the amount they need. The packs squeeze paint out through a one-way valve, so you can use every drop, and extra won't dry out as quickly.
