If you're a fan of that ever-so-hip 'live-work' style (guilty here), you're going to want a desk that means serious business. And when we say serious business, we're not just talking about great ergonomics, but cord control as well. Here are some of our personal favorites from recent months...
1. Bluelounge StudioDesk ($600): Bluelounge, the maker of our favorite cord-control boxes, manages to create a desk that not only looks gorgeous, but is also within a reasonable price point. This one definitely looks like a winner.
2. Herman Miller Airia Desk ($2100): Pricey? Yes. But it's Herman Miller, and you know they'll stand by their products until the bitter end. If you're looking for a desk that'll last you 10-20 years, look no further than the Airia Desk.
3. MASH Studios LAX Wall Mounted Desk ($720): A classic wall-mounted desk with plenty of storage and a sexy sliding thing to hide your 'stash'... whatever that may be.
4. Blu Dot WonderWall Desk ($500): An extreme take on the minimal desk, but that's okay with us. If you're lacking on space, this one hits the sweet spot in terms of tiny footprint and maximum function.
5. Method Furniture The Moston Desk (Call for pricing): Combining the simple functionality of a pull-out cord control system with a sexy walnut finish, topped with full-grain leather covering, this hand-crafted goodness comes with good intentions and a mystery price tag.

Nomade Express Slee...
not really a comment on any of these desks, but it's funny that the herman miller airia desk is shown in a picture with the airia media cabinet. i have that cabinet and it has NO wire control whatsoever. you'd think with something that costs that much there would be a small hole in the back somewhere for wires to go out of, but nope. i almost want to drill one in there, but for now i have wires streaming out the front.
For those of us who haven't gotten up with the times with wireless everything (LOL) this is sure nice, but I think I can do a DIY for that cost! :oD.
Nothing like a little drilling into your $500 desk.
For those who don't wish to do such things, I'd recommend IKEA's wire management solutions for a cheap fix or Bluelounge's cable clips.
In Australia, have a look at Hardwick & Cesko. David Harwick is a fantastic Melbourne based furniture designer that is renowned for his tables called the Miss Cesko. BUT he does a new desk called the Mr Desko which not only have cable management, but built in speakers and it folds away to hide all your unsightly paper clutter. He also does a few ranges of furniture for a Queensland company called HB&Co. Very nice gear!!

Another desk you over looked is the Ledge by Urbancase, great design for small spaces and very well thought out use of space and cord mangement.

My IKEA MICKE also have some level of built-in cable management :)
Can people recommend a modern functional desk that isn't $2100?
