Here's an interesting concept from abroad. The UK design team us design studio created this t-shirt concept as a "memento for festivals throughout the summer" where attendees often get filthy over a day's time amongst thousands of other revelers...
The t-shirt is infused with detergent (it looks like they've infused it with Persil) and can be directly thrown into the wash with other clothing, providing enough for a whole load. After the initial wash, the t-shirt reveals a unique pattern and number.
Our question is whether this is safe and hypoallergenic, since we're unsure having a detergent filled t-shirt would be the best bet for skin health (on inspection, we believe the designers specifically used Persil Non-bio formula detergent, which was specifically formulated for sensitive and newborn skin).

ok... who doesn't wash clothes after they buy them... thats bad for your skin all the dyes and acid's they use to colour the fabric...
umm. I dont?
Its like the new car smell :-)
To clarify, i wash all my clothes on a regular basis - just not before the first wear!
what happens if you get caught in the rain?
Am I missing something? What's the point? You can only use it once to wash a load, right?
I'll bet this is geared towards revelers who may travel a few hours by car to somewhere like Creamfields

to party for a day or two, off their faces, slide around in the mud a little bit or a lot, then hit up a local laundry to throw their clothes in for a tumble before they head home.
I guarantee you'd be the coolest bloke or blokess? in your group if you threw your shirt into that mess and told everyone their clothes would come out clean!
Enjoy the video!
I think it's neato. (cept far less attractive pre-1st wash).
What happens when you sweat?
Ah creamfields - now that reminds me of home!
