George wrote us to share this super unique Super Mario Bros. mural he and his wife created for their soon-to-arrive son Dexter. George shares: After much debate with my wonderful wife about our first nursery we decided on a Super Mario Bros theme. I've been told to just do what the pregnant lady wants and that's what I did.
My wife being a nerdy gamer envisions our child to be a pale skinned chubby gamer. We selected a few elements from online screenshots and I got to work. Luckily most of the colors were grouped together in a free Home Depot color scheme book. I split the wall color to minimize the artwork and separated it with some trim.
A couple of hours for two weekends with the help of my always helpful brother-in-law Pete and we were done. I found a few game plush dolls at Nordstrom Rack to complete the look.
My wife is happy so I am happy. Hopefully baby Dexter will like the shapes and colors and not be scared of Bullet Bill.

Awesome! I will be doing this for my son, whenever he happens to come along, but with Final Fantasy artwork. I love Mario, but FF stole my heart and has had it ever since.
