That's right, unhappy people watch a lot of TV. At least that's what a study coming out of the University of Maryland is saying.
“We looked at 8 to 10 activities that happy people engage in, and for each one, the people who did the activities more — visiting others, going to church, all those things — were more happy,” Dr. Robinson said. “TV was the one activity that showed a negative relationship. Unhappy people did it more, and happy people did it less.”
Do you agree?

Now I don't know about you, but I've got my regular TV watching routine and I consider myself a pretty happy guy. If I was watching said TV in one of the setups below, I can guarantee you that I would come out on the happy side even if I watched more TV than I do now. Hmm, maybe purchasing that 65 inch TV on black friday won't be an automatic ticket to happiness after all.

I don't wanna come off as sanctimonious, but we got rid of TV in our house 3 years ago. COMPLETELY rid of it - not even "one just for DVDs."
And my friends and family would like me to STFU about how much our quality of life has improved.
We walk our two dogs, cook like crazy, read books and magazines, listen to tons of music and all kinds of radio, and actually TALK. The evenings go by much more quickly than when we had TV. We get our news fix from the Internet, and on the rare occasion we would like to watch a show, we can pick and choose when and what from the Internet.
TV SUCKS.
I like TV. All things in moderation, you know.
I love this photo and I hate TV. Well, I think I should say that I hate being subjected to the commercialism. I found this photo in a storage room in the basement of my apartment building and immediately fell in love.
I think this could apply to the internet, as well.
I stopped watching TV a little over a year ago and I've never been so grateful. I didn't realize how addicted I was. It's so freeing to be without it!
Now, if only I could do something about this Internet addiction... Then I could really get some stuff done!
