Here at Apartment Therapy, Domestic Construction has previously received attention for their covet-worthy teacup and mason jar lamps – and have made a name for themselves through “redefining the ordinary” by using items such as discarded card catalogs, rusted nails, and even beeswax in their innovative products, event stylings, and retail space design. Now, artists Trish Anderson and Maureen Walsh have developed a line of bold indoor/outdoor rugs, each of which is made from a digitally dyed hand-cut paper design created by the gurus themselves.
Each rug in their collection is machine washable and ranges from $98 to $280. To view the entire line and check out the other incredible work and products from this dynamic duo, click on over to Domestic Construction.

Shaw's Original Fir...
Love this!!! Fab find ;D
Beautiful!
Nice graphic idea. Does digitally-dyed mean this is like a large colour output on canvas or something? If it is then it's probably not a good idea to put these near a sunny window.
@t3d
On the website, it does say "best not in direct sunlight", so I suspect you're right. Still not sure what's going on here, though... it's treated paper? That is machine-washable?
Hi!
The rugs are a durable digitally dyed textile backed with a skid resistant "neoprene-like" rubber backing. To prevent fading, extended periods of direct sunlight are discouraged. Here is a link to some photos that may help clarify http://www.domestic-construction.com/node/122
Ooooh, i want one. Love these!
