Digitally Dyed Rugs from Domestic Construction

Design duo Trish Anderson and Maureen Walsh of Domestic Construction describe themselves as “always living for the sound of scissors cutting through thick paper” – and with their new line of vibrant rugs, they have translated their love of creating unique paper designs into eye-catching flooring in their new collection: Grounded.

Here at Apartment Therapy, Domestic Construction has previously received attention for their covet-worthy teacup and mason jar lamps – and have made a name for themselves through “redefining the ordinary” by using items such as discarded card catalogs, rusted nails, and even beeswax in their innovative products, event stylings, and retail space design. Now, artists Trish Anderson and Maureen Walsh have developed a line of bold indoor/outdoor rugs, each of which is made from a digitally dyed hand-cut paper design created by the gurus themselves.

Each rug in their collection is machine washable and ranges from $98 to $280. To view the entire line and check out the other incredible work and products from this dynamic duo, click on over to Domestic Construction.
